The baby suite is built for the needs of children under two: calm, sensory-rich, staffed by practitioners who work only with this age group. The sensory room gives children with SEND, or those who need a quieter space, somewhere that actually serves them. The preschool room is where children start to read, reason and take genuine responsibility for small things. The sleep room, dining hall and Energy Hub, our indoor grassed adventure space, account for the rest of the day. Nothing is an afterthought.
In practice
Our team holds qualifications up to Level 7. Several members have worked in early years for 25 years or more. Our director brings a career in nursing and midwifery to her leadership of the setting. Most of the team speak three or four languages, which matters in Greenwich where many children are growing up bilingual. An in-house chef prepares fresh, balanced meals every day, including world flavours and full dietary accommodation. These are not selling points: they are simply how we run the nursery.
