How to Join Blossoming Minds: A Step by Step Guide

Choosing a nursery is a big decision, and we know parents want to feel confident about every step before committing. Here is exactly what happens from your first enquiry through to your child's first day with us.

Step 1: Make an enquiry

Get in touch to check space availability, ask about our current fees, or talk through your childcare needs. Whatever stage you are at, we are happy to help you work out whether Blossoming Minds is the right fit for your family.

Step 2: Book a nursery tour

Come and see the nursery for yourself. A tour is the best way to meet the team, walk through our rooms, including the baby room and sensory room, and get a genuine feel for how the day runs here. Book a Tour today

If you would rather explore things at your own pace first, our free weekly Stay and Play session runs every Wednesday from 10am to 11am and 3pm to 4pm, for babies and toddlers aged 3 months to 3 years. Parents stay for the full session, so it is a relaxed way to see the space and meet the team with no commitment. Register for Stay and Play.

Step 3: Complete your application

If you would like to join us, complete our nursery application form. We will review your application and confirm your child's place as soon as we can.

Please note that a place is only secured once we have confirmed your enrolment. Start your application.

Step 4: Arrange fees or funding

Before your child starts, we will help you arrange payment. You can set up monthly fee payments by bank transfer, or use your Tax-Free Childcare account.

You can check your funding eligibility at childcarechoices.gov.uk. Funding can only be claimed from the start of each term, so it is worth checking your eligibility early. Our team is always happy to talk you through the funding process.

Step 5: Read and sign our terms and conditions

Before your child's start date, we will ask you to read and sign our nursery terms and conditions. This makes sure everyone understands our policies and how we work.

Step 6: Complete your child's registration

To get ready for your child's first day, we arrange three settling in sessions before the official start date. We will also ask you to complete:

A Parent Declaration Form, for funded places
An "All About Me" form, so your child's key person gets to know them before day one

Please bring the following with you:

Your child's birth certificate
Your child's Red Book (vaccination record page)
Proof of address
Parent or carer photo ID

These documents are needed to complete registration and, where relevant, to verify funding eligibility.

If your child would benefit from more time settling in beforehand, our free Stay and Play sessions are a great way to help them get comfortable with the space and the team ahead of starting.

Step 7: Activate Famly and start your journey

Once everything is complete, we will send you an invitation to activate your Famly account. From there, you can message us directly, receive invoices, view your child's observations, and stay up to date with their learning and care day to day.

Your child is now ready to start their journey with us.
